REUs (Research Activities for Undergraduates)

Each summer, EQUATE has hosted and funded undergraduates who are mentored by Nebraska’s materials science research faculty. In the summer of 2025, the REUs conducted interviews with EQUATE graduates for the purpose of networking and professional development. See below for a report on each REU's interview.

EQUATE 2025 REU Jenna Lawson (University of Maine) interviewed past REU Abigail Vasquez (Texas A&M – Corpus Christi) and gained perspective on shaping a career in physics.
