Assistant Professor of Physics - Quantum Materials and Technologies

Lincoln, Nebraska

The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln (UNL) invites applications for a tenure-track position as an assistant professor in the field of Quantum Materials and Technologies (QMT). The experimental QMT position is designed to strengthen quantum materials science in the condensed matter and materials group of the Department of Physics and Astronomy while actively fostering interdisciplinary research within Nebraska’s NSF-funded EPSCoR-RII Track-1 Center for Emergent Quantum Materials and Technologies. The ideal candidate contributes cutting-edge experimental work which bridges research between at least two of the three focus research groups (FRGs) of the center. The enhancement of synergy between FRG 1’s work on quantum materials and FRG 2’s work on quantum technologies is the primary objective. Duties also include teaching and service to the Department, College, and/or the University.
