Assistant Professor of Physics - Quantum Materials and Technologies
Lincoln, Nebraska
The Department of Physics and Astronomy at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln invites applications for a tenure-track position as
assistant professor in the field of Quantum Materials and Technologies (QMT). The vacant position complements a previous
interdepartmental QMT cluster hire and manifests UNL’s aspiring efforts in the field of Quantum Science and Engineering, one of UNL’s
eight institutionally-supported grand challenge themes. The qualified candidate must have a PhD in physics or a related discipline, a
strong track record of scholarly activity, and the potential for developing a high-impact, externally-funded research program. The
candidate is expected to efficiently contribute to UNL’s collaborative research programs, notably the EPSCoR Center on Emergent Quantum
Materials and Technologies. The candidate will demonstrate a strong interest in teaching physics courses at the undergraduate and
graduate levels.
